What is the treatment for hip fracture?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through the attachment (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Her fracture has not healed, and her fixation has got failed. I suggest seeing an experienced anesthetist to assess her fitness for having an extended operation. As her hip is painful, it is best to do a hip replacement.

Why is there weakness and back pain after delivery?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. From her young age and recent childbirth, she might have suffered from a slipped disc in her back. Does she have any leg pain? Please note that if she suffers from any urine or bowel disturbance then she will need to see a specialist straight away. My recommendation for your wife is to rest, avoid lifting and have strong painkillers followed by physiotherapy. If symptoms persist then she will need to have MRI scan.

Do kidney problems cause back pain?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. If your pain is aggravated by movements and improved by rest, then it is probably due to musculoskeletal rather than kidney problems. One of the tests to find out is to do a urine test to find out if there are signs of infection or blood. You mentioned that you have fatigue. And in this case, I would recommend that you visit your doctor to have blood tests and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan of your back as soon as possible.

What could the lump on my tarsal foot bone be?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I have gone through the attachments (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I understand that you are concerned about a lump in your right midfoot on the outer side. The probable cause is a benign bony prominence. However, differential diagnoses include a calcified ganglion, accessory ossicle, a subluxated peroneal tendon, ankle ligament sprain, and tarsal coalition.

Is any chance of risk for spinal fracture if a plywood fell?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I read your query and understood your concern. It seems that you have suffered whiplash injuries. This is common following high energy impacts on the upper body. From the mechanism you described, it seems unlikely to sustain a fracture.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Thank you for contacting icliniq, and sorry to hear about your injury. It is unlikely that the described injury has caused a fracture. I have neck and shoulder pain that go away when I lie down. Any suggestions?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Your young age makes arthritis (wear and tear) unlikely. And you did not mention any history of traumatic injuries to your neck. The issue seems to be postural as the pain appears after sitting up and resolves on lying down. It would be useful to check the Xrays to confirm there are no bony issues.
