Why do I have lower back pain when bending?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. There are a few questions I would like you to answer. Is the pain radiating to the legs and feet? Is there any history of diabetes, hypertension, or thyroid issues? Is there any history of trauma to the back, or did you lift something heavy, which caused back pain? Do you have a lot of sitting in your job? A pinched nerve in the back, most probably due to a bulge in the disc, can cause these symptoms. The irritated nerve due to physical compression causes muscular spasm and hence the pain. It generally exaggerates bending forward, lifting heavy weights, etc.

Why is my neck pain radiating to the arm?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. As per your symptoms, the most likely cause can be the disc in the cervical region pinching the nerve, causing radiation of pain and reflex muscle spasm, which is a protective defense of the body. It would help if you took certain precautions, like not lifting heavy weights, bending forward, or straining your neck in an awkward posture while watching television or working on a laptop. You have to do specific exercises like isometric neck strengthening, trapezius strengthening, and some stretches.

I have intense back pain from upper to middle back. Is it due to pinched nerve?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. From the history you have given, it is a possibility that you might have pinched a nerve or a disc might have bulged causing nerve irritation and reflex muscle spasm (protective) and hence the pain. It could also be other things like posture-related or muscular strain. Is there a history of any trauma? Did you lift heavyweight? Is there any tingling sensation or numbness in legs? Any history of radiation of pain? Is there any history of hypertension diabetes or thyroid issues? For now, you can use hot packs, relative bed rest, and Diclofenac gel for local application. Revert with the info so that I can prescribe you the medications.

What can I do for knee lock due to hyperextension?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. From what I can read and understand by the brief history you have given is that there can be damage to ligaments and meniscus in your knee. Can you please elaborate on the range of motion of your knee? If it is barely movable it means that probably some tissue (either meniscus or soft tissue) is stuck causing block to the range of motion. Also are you having hyperlaxity? Generally people who have hypermobile joints tend to go for hyperextension. Also, kindly update the details of your surgery.

Is there any family history of ankylosing spondylitis or rheumatic disease in the family? What area of the chest hurt? Is it near the sternum and the back? Or is it generalized? Are there any trigger points from your pain in the back and the chest area? Have you ever tested for HLA b27? Revert with the details, and hopefully, you should get better. How to manage right knee pain?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Thanks for the information. Since there are very few sections of the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) that you have shared, I cannot comment on the status of the ligaments and joints (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Also, there are no reports got through the radiologist. From the history, you have mentioned that there was no injury or trauma, and also, the X-rays did not point to any bony injury as we can assume there is no tear or ligamentous injury.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Muscular strain can definitely be the cause of your symptoms.
