What are the effective strategies for managing typhoid?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. The first report (attachment removed to protect patient identity) that you have provided is a complete blood count, and that does not say anything about typhoid. However, the second report shows the Widal test results, which confirms the presence of active Salmonella typhi infection. Typhoid fever diagnosis is more of a clinical diagnosis than a lab one. In the presenting complaint, you have mentioned throat infection, but nothing about fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and any other symptoms.

What is the treatment for headaches in asthma?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Sorry to hear about your concern. If you do not have any fever, cough, or cold and still experience headache and body ache, this could be due to lack of proper sleep, rest, and increased stress (both mental and physical). Sour taste in burp is due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux). The acid from the stomach is coming back up to the throat and causing irritation and leading to phlegm formation.

What supplements are highly recommended for older adults?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Vitamin D deficiency is one of the most common causes of joint and body pain. It can further lead to calcium deficiency. Taking fish oil in the diet helps a lot. I suggest your parents to do some blood tests to rule out the cause behind these persistent aches in joints.

I feel like my nose is blocked, but I do not think I have a cold. What shall I do?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. You have a stuffy nose and it can occur due to allergies or common cold or due to infection related to sinusitis. The phlegm in the throat can occur due to postnasal drip. If you do not have a fever or facial tenderness or headache, then it can be noninfectious sinusitis. Overuse of nasal decongestants can lead to these problems.
