Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am having pain in the left side of my abdomen and I am worried about what it could be. It has been hurting for a very long time, but not constant pain. I poop three to five times a day, and when I do, my stomach hurts very bad. For a long time, I was not able to eat.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Most probably, this is all gastritis and acidity. Do you also have upper abdominal pain, nausea, bloating, burping, an increase in pain with food, a sour watery feeling in the throat, or chest burning? These are other associated symptoms. You should avoid diets high in fat, oil, and calories. Have some walks after having food instead of taking a rest. Have multiple small meals instead of heavy meals. Have regular sleep habits and avoid stress. Lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.

You can get prescribed

  1. Tablet Pan DSR 40 mg (proton pump inhibitor and dopamine antagonist) before breakfast once a day for 2 weeks.

  2. Syrup Aristozyme: 2 teaspoons once a day for 2 weeks.

  3. Take one tablet of Albendazole 400 mg (antihelmintic) at bedtime and repeat the dose after 2 weeks.

Are these symptoms worse when eating particular foods like milk products, wheat products, etc? You should pay attention to factors that tend to increase the symptoms. Get back if you have any doubts.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
