Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My stomach has been feeling tight for a week now. No pain just discomfort while standing, but when I sit down, I barely feel it. I have been dealing with my wife separating from me, overeating, drinking alcohol, and lying down after I eat. What should I do?
The medication I took for the same complaint was not taken due to its accompanying side effects.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern regarding your stomach problem.
As you are drinking alcohol nowadays, it disturbs stomach acid. Alcohol is absorbed more than 50 percent in the stomach, so it increases stomach acid, which disturbs you.
To get relief from this, I would suggest you avoid alcohol at first, then you need to avoid spicy foods plus cigarettes, and you need to take antacids for two to four weeks to retain your stomach acid.
Kindly consult a physician, discuss with them, and start taking the medications with their consent.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.
