Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My left eye is tilted and also inactive, i have vision due to my right eye only, left eye has no vision and have a errored vision.
Hi
welcome to icliniq.
You are having Esotropia (inward eye deviation) and also poor vision in 1 eye. So deviation of eye may be due to poor vision which may be due to refractive errror, media opacity like cataract or any retina disease...in some cases deviated eye is since birth and that can lead to poor development of vision. So you need proper eye exam and assessment by an eye specialist to make definite diagnosis. And management will depend on the cause. It depends on the underlying cause. Some causes are treatable others or not. If eye deviation is since childhood then your eye sight might be amblyopic (lazy eye/poorly developed vision) and that is difficult to treat... Eye surgery is possible to straighten your eyes but if vision is poor in one eye it will not hold straight forever and can drift back over the years. Usually patient comes for surgery for cosmetic reasons when they need it most (like for job/marriage). So you we suggest surgery few weeks/months before that so that it works for the patients purpose. So you need to get examined and rest will depend on diagnosis. You can ask any question regarding this any time. God bless you.
