What skincare can reduce acne marks and uneven skin tone?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 19 years old. And I have a lot of acne, bumps, and redness on my forehead, and have two to three pimple marks and uneven skin tone.

Could you please recommend something to get rid of the problem?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern.

The pigmentation, redness, uneven skin tone, and acne are manageable. I am going to give you a step-by-step regimen according to your skin's needs

  • In the morning, use a mild cleanser, and at night, before going to bed

  • After the cleanser, use a good non-comedogenic moisturizer

  • Apply Clindamycin one percent gel in the morning or in the afternoon to acne.

  • In the evening, use Azelaic acid 20 percent cream in the evening.

After washing your face, take a pea-sized amount and apply it to the entire face. This will help you manage your acne, acne marks, and remove uneven skin, as it is a gentle peeling agent. Even if you feel dryness with it, you can use a moisturizer after using it. Continue with this regimen for three to four weeks, and you will get noticeable results.

Try to take less stress, eat healthy food, and avoid sun tanning or sunbathing to get the maximum effect. In order to give you more effective treatment for your acne, feel free to share your picture so that I can see whether you have comedonal acne, pustular acne, mild, moderate, or severe, so that I can guide you further according to the management of acne.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
