Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I understand your concern.
Seems like you are in a lot of distress let me try and help you. Please explain your complaints in detail, duration, and onset. In the pictures, I can see a fleshy mass that is excised. Are these the specimens they removed after operating on you? You were diagnosed with acoustic neuroma, is it? What procedure was done? And regarding what is your feeling? Since when is it? Is it a suffocating feeling you are dealing with? Did these symptoms start past your diagnosis of acoustic?
Please answer things in detail I will answer most of your concerns.
I hope this helps.
Regards.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
1. Were these the specimens they removed after operating on you?
No, I used an otovent balloon up my nose to blow the pressure and it then choked me and came out of my mouth, because my GP would not listen to me.
2. You were diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, is it?
No, but I am worried it is.
3. What procedure was done?
No procedure, just the pressure balloon.
4. And regarding this breathless you are feeling?
Yes, I was struggling to breathe at night and my cheeks were swollen, I have had approximately 20 ear infections in two years and I woke up in the night with a sore throat and ear pain.
5. Since when is it? Is it a suffocating feeling you are dealing with?
Not since this growth came out I breathe a bit better but I have a feeling it is building in my ears again.
6. Did these symptoms start past your diagnosis of acoustic?
I am worried it is a tumor.
Thank you very much for your help, I am a student nurse also and I have shown doctors and they agree it is not right, but the ENT ignored my referrals saying I have low-grade hearing but in their remit. I have screamed in my ears at night, I am always tired, and I have pains in my head when that growth comes away.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com
I understand your concern.
So the primary problem is in your ears. You have a ringing sensation in the ears but has an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan or an audiogram been done if it is there please provide it. Listening to pressure symptoms and breathlessness you are facing, you could be suffering from hyperventilation syndrome which happens due to anxiety. What is an episode of ear infection please describe because an infection is nowhere related to acoustic neuroma.
Please answer things in detail I will answer most of your concerns.
I hope this helps.

Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I go to the doctors and they always diagnose chronic otitis media and say my eardrums are bulging and my sinuses and throat always hurt. I have a cyst lump under my left ear that never goes away. My GP rang the hospital when he had this growth and measured it at 6 cm, I hear poorly with my ears, and secondary my throat and breathing. I use steroid nasal spray every morning, anti-histamines, I have had antibiotics too many times. I have all my medical records to show my appointments over the two years, maybe 20 times my GP has seen and diagnosed and referred me to the hospital four times. I have had a camera down my nose two times to confirm I have no polyps but he said on my last appointment he could see swelling, but then booked me for a hearing test in September. They have not booked me for any scans no blood tests, I wanted your opinion on why that growth has come out of my inner/middle ear. Can that happen with a tumor? Can that be a tumor?
As I said my GP measured it at 6 cm and you can see from the picture that it was grown against something, it was really hard and also not fluid. Is this anything normal?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com
I understand your concern.
So the pic you have sent is the swelling which is been removed is it? It does not seem like a cancerous growth. For chronic otitis media, you need to have recurrent ear discharge, pain, and all those. I personally feel that you have been wrongly diagnosed. Could you send me all your previous medical documents? The hearing test is mandatory since you have decreased hearing as well as ringing sensation. The picture of the growth seems like a benign swelling that has no connection to your external or middle ear. I feel the diagnosis of your com and sinus issues is itself wrong. You do not have cancer, do not worry. Acoustic neuroma is a tumor that grows towards your brain from the inner ear and you did not have that. Acoustic neuroma does not present like this. Please upload previous medical documents let me have a look.
Please answer things in detail I will answer most of your concerns.
I hope this helps.
Regards.
Thank you.
