Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

They have been present for nearly a week. The only time I ever got a fever was the only time I ever got one. The week is more continuous than usual. I did do a covid test, but the results were unfavorable. I have been taking allergy medication since my allergies have worsened. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

These symptoms are due to sinusitis. It is infective sinusitis rather than allergic sinusitis because you are not improving on anti-allergic medicines. So start steam inhalation four times a day. Which anti-allergic drug are you taking? Has any recent swimming? Have any recent outings in cold, windy places? Is any other family member having similar symptoms?

Please reply to my answers to the questions above so I can guide you better.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

The allergy medicine I have been taking is off-brand; Equate (loratadine tablets 10 mg. It is an antihistamine). I travel for work and have been dealing with different climates daily. I do not think anyone else has had the same symptoms as I have that I know of. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I suggest doing blood reports like complete blood count (CBC) and X-ray of sinuses (X-ray PNS). I just want to confirm the diagnosis.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

For the antibiotic, a prescription is required. Given that I travel for business, I cannot have bloodwork either. I do not suffer from any drug allergies, either. I value all of your assistance. Thank you once again.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Unfortunately, doctors cannot provide certified prescriptions or certificates during online consultations. We are only able to advise or recommend possible medications and treatments. Both Paracetamol and Acetaminophen are available without a prescription. You may begin them. Inhale steam up to five times daily as well.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Regards.
