Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 21 years old and have noticed reddish pimples and lumps around my anus region. I tried feeling them, and they are dense. I am not in any pain right now, although there is a tiny discomfort while sitting down and some itchy, but not all the time. I have included some proof of the influenced area. What could it be? And what should I do to resolve it?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Based on the information you gave, you may have perianal warts, a sexually transmitted infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The pinkish pimples and lumps you mentioned frequently indicate perianal warts. They can be uncomfortable or irritating, but not always. If you had anal intercourse or had intimate contact with someone who has genital warts, you might have caught HPV. Wearing condoms during intercourse helps minimize the chance of HPV transmission, but it is not a failsafe. To resolve this, I suggest consulting with a healthcare specialist for an exact diagnosis and treatment plan. They can do a physical examination and undertake tests to determine whether you have perianal warts or another ailment. Perianal warts can be treated with topical medicines, cryotherapy (freezing), or surgical excision. It is important to get treatment as soon as possible to avoid the development of the infection and related problems.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
