Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My father is 58 years old. He got a second attack and his heart is pumping at 28 %. Now one of the doctors says that for a month he cannot perform angiography. And the other doctor says that it is the right time for the test. He cannot get better than this point. Now we just want to know what should we do. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through the echo report of your father (attachment removed for patient identity protection) it shows the cardiac chamber affected by the attack as thin and akinetic. I doubt whether an angiogram will be useful at all, it is better to do a myocardial viability study to see how the affected segments respond to stress. Only if there is significant viability present you should go ahead with the angiogram. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
