This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 27 years old and I have not been feeling for the past two months. I have been on anti-anxiety medications such as Xanax and Paxil for the past 17 years. I had an anxiety attack for the first time in 10 years. I fell I may have compressed a nerve. I was taking the medication Xanax for a month, but I stopped taking it abruptly, which resulted in tremors. After which I have been having more anxiety. After taking Xanax for a month, I stopped abruptly. Later, I got tremors, which gave me more anxiety. I started taking the medication Xanax again; the panic is gone, but I feel anxious every 12 hours and feel like shaking.

Please help me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

I know this has been quite a difficult time for you. Kindly give me more information regarding the medications you are currently taking. How much Paxil (Paroxetine) are you taking now? I suggest you to start taking the tablet Etizola (Etizolam) 0.5 mg twice daily. Relying completely on medications to relieve your anxiety will not be helpful. You must try progressive muscular relaxation exercises four to five times a day. Maintain a good diet and sleep routine.

I hope this has helped you out.

Thanks and regards.
