Antrochoanal Polyp

Antrochoanal polyps are benign sinonasal polyps that develop within the maxillary sinus. The exact etiology is unknown. However, allergies and infections can increase the risk of developing antrochoanal polyps. Obstructed nasal passage and sinus-related symptoms are commonly observed in patients with these polyps. Surgeries such as Caldwell Luc antrostomy, middle nasal antrostomy, and inferior nasal antrostomy are performed to treat an antrochoanal polyp.
