Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a very severe anxiety problem. I get panic attacks very often, and mostly it is for no reason at all, and they can last for hours. Due to this, I am struggling with all my relationships.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I completely understand your concern.
Living with severe anxiety and frequent panic attacks can be incredibly exhausting and lonely, especially when they come without warning and last for hours. It is frustrating when your mind reacts so strongly, even when there seems to be no real reason, and over time, this can deeply affect how you connect with people you care about.
Anxiety can make you feel misunderstood, overly emotional, or withdrawn, which can strain relationships and leave you feeling guilty or broken, but you are not. What you are experiencing is real, and it is not your fault.
With the right support, understanding, and care, things can get better, and you deserve compassion, patience, and help through this.
Treatment for anxiety is not about “fixing” you; it is about helping your mind and body feel safe again. Talking to a therapist can give you a space where you are heard without judgment and where you slowly learn why your panic shows up and how to calm it when it does.
Simple things like breathing exercises, grounding techniques, gentle movement, and better sleep can make a real difference over time, even though they may feel small at first. Sometimes medication is needed, not because you are weak, but because your nervous system needs extra support to settle down.
Healing takes time, patience, and kindness toward yourself, but with the right help, the panic does not have to control your life forever.
I hope this helps, and always feel free to reach out to me at any time. I am always here to help.
Thank you.
