The cause of behcet's disease is unknown, but genetic and environmental factors likely play a role. The disease is characterized by painful mouth sores (aphthous ulcers), eye inflammation (uveitis), genital sores, skin rashes, and lesions. Treatment involves medications like topical corticosteroids, mouth rinses, and eyedrops to reduce Behcet's disease's signs and symptoms and prevent serious complications, such as blindness.
