What can be done to lower the hairline?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am an 18-year-old male and I am trying to find out if there is any way to lower my hairline. I had a big forehead since birth and I am wondering if there is any way to change that.

Please help thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are two ways we can use to achieve a lower hairline or a smaller forehead. The first is a surgical approach to remove a portion of the forehead skin and effectively lower the hairline. The second is to make the forehead appear smaller by grafting hair to the front of the hairline. Occasionally, these two procedures can be combined but as it is a very expensive method the only way which you can do is undergo a hair transplant by FUE (follicular unit extraction) method to create a new hairline to hide your big forehead.

Thank you.
