Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I noticed a blister on my penis. It does not hurt much, but it is sore. I am 5 feet 9 inch tall and currently weigh 142 lbs. When I was younger, I had been diagnosed with eczema.
Hi,
Welcome to iCliniq.com. I read your query and understand your concern.
These lesions seem to be those of genital herpes (herpes genitalis). They could have been acquired from your partner.
I would advise you to get your HSV IgM and IgG (herpes simplex virus immunoglobulin G and M) levels tested.
Did you experience any symptoms such as itching, burning, etc.?
Is there a complaint of any such symptoms in your partner?
Do you have a history of unprotected sexual intercourse?
You can take tab acyclovir 400 milligrams thrice daily and apply 5% Acyclovir ointment twice daily after consulting your general physician or dermatologist.
Hope this helps, and get back if you have any doubts.
Thank you for consulting me. You can always come back and reach me at iCliniq.com.
