How to treat pimples on the penis?

Probable diagnosis is scabetic papules. Genital involvement is common in scabies and can present as multiple red or pink itchy papules. Itching often worsens with time and may increase at night. Contact dermatitis can occur due to exposure to soaps, detergents, lubricants, condoms, antiseptics, or excessive washing, leading to redness, itching, and discomfort.

STIs (sexually transmitted infections) are less likely because of the following reasons:

1. Sudden onset with itching but no pain.

2. No history of a new sexual partner.

3. Lesions are multiple, similar-looking papules.

4. No ulcers, discharge, blisters, or systemic symptoms.

Avoid all potential irritants, soaps, antiseptics, perfumes, condoms with additives, or vigorous washing. Keep the area clean using plain water, and keep it dry.

Apply a mild topical steroid (e.g., Hydrocortisone 1 %) once daily for a short duration if advised by a doctor. If scabies is suspected clinically, anti-scabetic treatment (e.g., Permethrin 5 % cream) may be required for you and close contacts.

Do not scratch, as it can worsen inflammation and lead to secondary infection. Avoid self-medication with antifungal or antibiotic creams unless prescribed. If itching spreads to other body parts, worsens at night, or similar symptoms appear in close contacts, scabies becomes more likely.
