Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms you are describing, including red, flat bumps, swelling, and itching on the head of the penis (also known as the glans), could be indicative of a few possible conditions:

  1. Balanitis: This is inflammation of the glans and can be caused by infections (like fungal or bacterial), poor hygiene, or irritation. It often presents with redness, swelling, bumps, itching, and discomfort.

  2. Yeast infection (Candida): A fungal infection can occur in the moist environment under the foreskin, especially if hygiene is compromised. It typically causes redness, swelling, itching, and sometimes bumps or a rash.

  3. Contact dermatitis: An allergic reaction or irritation from soap, lotions, or condoms could cause redness, swelling, and itching.

  4. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs): Some STIs, like herpes or syphilis, can cause sores, bumps, and swelling in the genital area, so if you have had unprotected sex recently, this could be a possibility.

  5. Fordyce spots: These are small, benign, painless bumps that can appear on the penis, though they typically do not cause swelling or intense itching. They are not harmful but can sometimes be mistaken for something more serious.

  6. Lichen sclerosus or other dermatological conditions: Some skin conditions can affect the genital area, causing white patches, bumps, and irritation.

It is important to see a healthcare provider, preferably a urologist or dermatologist, to get a proper diagnosis. They can perform an examination, and if necessary, take a sample for testing to rule out infections, STIs, or other conditions. Avoid using any new products or medications in the area until you have been seen by a doctor.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
