Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been having excess flatulence and burping. Blood tests came back fine, and the CT scan showed no abnormalities. I also did a urea breath test, which came back negative. I was given Colofac, Coppermine, and Nexium tablets. I am passing gas every 10 minutes, and I have also started to notice a really bad odor, but I can not tell if it is coming from inside of my mouth or if it is the gas I am releasing.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body's system. But do not worry; I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed gastritis, which is an inflammatory disease of the stomach that may be caused by previous medication use. I can see there was no improvement with the prescribed drugs from your doctor. Please take the following:
Take two capsules of Omeprazole 40 mg orally, twice daily for one week.
Take Gaviscon (Sodium alginate) syrup 20 ml orally, three times a day for two weeks.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
