Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 23 years old, 5.8 feet tall, and weigh 67 pounds. My health inquiry is that I have been suffering from abnormal burping, which comes and goes for almost two years. I cannot eat spicy foods or have milk or heavy foods. And the worst part is I cannot even burp naturally. It stocks somewhere around my throat, and it feels like the food is all coming out, which makes it very difficult to breathe. I have to force it hard to burp by myself because if I do not burp, I feel like choking. Please help me out with this doctor.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Based on your symptoms of difficulty burping after meals, you may have developed dysphagia which is mainly caused by acute indigestion and potentially linked to peptic ulcer disease after consuming spicy foods.
Here are some of my recommendations:
Tab Omeprazole 40mg: Take orally twice daily (bid).
Syrup Gaviscon 20ml: Take orally three times a day (tid).
Pepsi effervescent tablet: Dissolve in a glass of water and drink twice daily (bid).
Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet regularly.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
