Central Hypothyroidism

When hypothyroidism occurs in the absence of an actual thyroid gland disorder and due to problems with the hypothalamus or the pituitary gland, like pituitary adenomas, it is known as central hypothyroidism. It is a rare condition. Affected people exhibit symptoms of hypothyroidism like fatigue, hoarseness, bradycardia, cold intolerance, etc., but in a mild to moderate form.
