Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I regularly experience chest pain and dull stomach pain. The pain in my chest is always on the left-hand side of the body. Sometimes it makes my left arm feel weak. There is a feeling of fullness and pressure which leads to overthinking and anxiety. I often suffer from panic attacks. I smoke vapes and constantly feel gassy. What is the underlying cause for it?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
1) When there is an overlap between cardiac and gastric origin problems, the workup should always be done to rule out cardiac causes.
2) Your ECG (electrocardiogram) is normal, but still, you should visit your cardiologist once for a regular checkup.
3) Regarding gastric issues, you can consider some important lifestyle modifications and some simple medications.
4) Avoid eating reheated meals for a couple of weeks. Do not fill your stomach at once.
5) Avoid alcohol and smoke.
6) Take a tablet of Pantoprazole (antacid) before breakfast for two to four weeks.
7) Avoid stress.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thanks for your reply.
I am currently still vaping (smoking). Could I have a stomach ulcer? Does vaping on an empty stomach make it worse?
Please help.
