Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got COVID-19 with a fever two days ago, and not sure when the exposure was. I took three doses of Paxlovid, but I am scared to rebound. Can I stop now? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your statement, you got a fever from a coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, and the picture of the antigen test (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) that is provided here also suggests that.

Paxlovid (Nirmatrelvir and Ritonavir) tablets treat mild to moderate COVID-19 infection. Paxlovid is recommended to be taken two times daily for five days. As you have already started taking Paxlovid, it will be better for you to complete its five-day course.

Take care. In case of any other queries, please ask me.
