Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 25-year-old male. I feel my penis is curved and I am afraid that this might affect my sexual functions. Is it advisable to take Xiaflex for this condition? My friend was advised of this medication by his doctor. So, I would like to know if I can use the same. But before going to the doctor, I want to understand the seriousness, whether it will affect my sexual life, and whether taking these kinds of medications is harmful. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I am here to help you with your health queries.

There are multiple reasons for a bent penis such as:

  1. A short frenulum - Kindly share pictures of an erect penis (side and below) for diagnosis. If this is the cause, then surgical management is the cure.
  2. Phimosis - Share pictures of an erect penis (side) and the foreskin in retracted position. If this is the cause, then surgical management is the cure.
  3. Peyronie's disease- This can occur due to a scar inside the muscle of the penis. A Doppler scan is necessary to diagnose such conditions.

If you have pain during sex, I suggest you take the tablet Aceclofenac and Paracetamol (Zerodol-P) to obtain a temporary solution.

I hope you had a pleasant experience at icliniq.

Thank you.
