Patient's Query
Hello doctor, I have had a problem with one of my cheeks for at least a year, it can turn red and burn. Recently, I have been noting the situations in which this happens. I have been tested for lupus and rosacea, both were ruled out. I have almost three times elevated prolactin levels. I have read about similar symptoms. I have been trying to lower it for two weeks, but I have not noticed any difference: 1. In different phases of the cycle, sometimes more, sometimes less - it usually does not burn intensely. 2. Stress - sometimes it is hard to calm down; it usually results in a severe burning sensation. 3. A sleepless night can also lead to redness in the morning. 4. If I exercise often after brisk walking on the treadmill or a workout, redness appears, but it usually does not burn. 5. If I use too much phone and social media, redness appears because my mind gets overwhelmed. 6. If there are too many people, I get nervous, and redness appears. 7. When something happens to me, for example, when I get a tattoo, the redness lasts for a long time. It is as if I am overloading my body, and then the redness appears. I am struggling with it without seeing any solution. Please help. Thank you.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. Do not worry I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms and the picture sent, I believe you have developed a disease called Cushing's syndrome that occurs due to a high level of cortisol that may be raised due to stress or exercise. Please do a 24-hour cortisol test and reply to me with the result so that I may have to make my prescription. I hope this helps. Schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.
