Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 31 years old. I will soon start trying to get pregnant and do the TORCH tests. They came back with cytomegalovirus IgG, rubella IgG positive. I was vaccinated for rubella when I was a baby and got infected when I was a university student, and it passed quickly. I never knew about the virus or been vaccinated. What must I take (supplements, medicines) to prevent it from activating during pregnancy? I plan the birth to be via C-section. Are there any other tests I should make in connection with the cytomegalovirus?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It suggests you have antibodies against rubella and cytomegalovirus. Do yoga and pranayam, and go for walks regularly. Take dates, beetroot, bananas, and green leafy vegetables regularly. Take multivitamins and multimineral supplements for three months. These all will help you to maintain good immunity.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
