Patient's Query
Hello Doctor,
I saw my last menstrual cycle from the second week to third week of the month. I took an emergency contraceptive after six days, and after another six days, I experienced bleeding. Since then, my period has not arrived. What could be the cause?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed a delayed menstrual cycle due to hormonal imbalance caused by the contraceptive pills, as this has altered the date of your period. I suggest you watch for your period between last two days of the month, as I believe it is within that time frame that you experienced bleeding.
I hope this helps. Follow up if you have any further concerns or questions .
Thank you.
