Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I got my periods late by more than three weeks. I had a non-penetrative dry humping with my boyfriend two months back. There was no penetration. I was wearing a panty and a pant. I felt some pre-cum on my thighs. After about 20 minutes, I took an I-pill just for safety. Six days after that, I got my period which was normal and heavy. But since last month, my periods have been late by three weeks. I consume natural fruits like papaya. Please tell me what I should do. Is there a possibility of pregnancy? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
You are very unlikely to be pregnant. Dry humping without penetration and with clothing on reduces the chance of sperm reaching the vagina. Additionally, you took an emergency contraceptive pill (I-Pill) within 20 minutes as a precautionary measure. However, irregular periods can have various causes, including stress, hormonal imbalances, changes in weight, medications, or underlying health conditions.
If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, the best course of action is to take a pregnancy test. This will provide more clarity and help alleviate any worries. If the test is negative and your period continues to be irregular or delayed, I suggest you consult a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation.
I hope I have answered all your queries.
Thank you.
