This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My period is always late by around 10 to 20 days. I have white vaginal discharge, a bad smell from my vagina, irregular period issues for two years, and extreme hair fall.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern.

As per your concern, you have delayed periods for the last two years along with vaginal discharge and extreme hair fall. As you mentioned, your weight is also quite low at only 45 pounds.

For vaginal discharge, I am prescribing medication. For irregular periods, blood tests are required. The cause can be low body nutrition or hormonal imbalance for irregular periods. Hair fall can be due to nutritional deficiencies, including protein and vitamin deficiencies.

Please get the reports done and share them. Also, share when your last period was, for how many days it lasted, and how many pads you need to change per day.

I suggest you undergo the following investigations:

  1. CBC (complete blood count).

  2. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone).

  3. PRL (prolactin).

  4. Serum vitamin D levels.

  5. Serum vitamin B12 level.

  6. HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin).

  7. USG pelvis (ultrasonography of pelvis).

I suggest you take the following medications:

  1. Tablet Fluconazole 150 mg, stat, only once at night.

  2. Tablet Cetirizine 5 mg, one tablet at night for five days.

  3. Tablet Supradyn (Multivitamins), one tablet after lunch for 15 days.

  4. Lpro powder (Protein supplement), two teaspoons full with milk daily.

I suggest you consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I suggest you follow these preventive measures:

  1. Keep the vaginal area clean and dry.

  2. Wear cotton underwear.

  3. Change underwear twice daily.

Kindly follow up with reports once you get them.

I hope that this answers your query.

Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
