Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

What are the chances of survival if a person is infected by dengue thrice? I have already had dengue twice. I am getting some symptoms though I have not developed a fever yet.

Thank you

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.

It is common. If platelets are normal, blood counts are normal. Nothing to worry about. Can you send me details of your current symptoms, details of reports, details of current medicine? It will help to advise you properly.

Thank you for consulting me.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

This question is about my 10 year old nephew. He has had dengue twice. He is showing some symptoms and we are scared if he has dengue again. He has not had a fever yet. He has constipation and headache. He has been suffering from loss of appetite and vomits if he has anything since quite a few days. He is complaining of gas as well. All his tests are fine till now. His liver function test and kidney test are also fine. But we are worried if this will result in dengue fever after some days.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read and understand your concern.

Do not worry. Current symptoms like nausea and vomiting are due to acidity caused by constipation. Since there is no fever, and your reports are normal.

  1. Is there any yellowish conjunctiva, urine?

  2. Any pain in the abdomen?

  3. Any ultrasound reports?

Reply with details.

Looking forward to your response in order to help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Ultrasound has not been done. Should we get it done tomorrow? There is a pain in the abdomen due to constipation I think. Eyes sometimes look watery, other times are looking fine. He does not want to eat anything for a week.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read and understand your concern.

Do an ultrasound of the abdomen tomorrow.

Meanwhile give:

  1. Tablet Pantop (Pantoprazole) junior once in an empty stomach.

  2. Tablet Ondem (Ondansetron) md one tablet twice a day 20 minutes before food.

  3. Syrup Cremaffin (liquid paraffin)7 milliliters in lukewarm water at night for a few days to relieve constipation.

Continue all for five to seven days.

Looking forward to your response in order to help you.

Thank you.
