Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a childcare worker and today a child jumped and hit my mouth with his head. My mouth went numb and I cut my lip. My front tooth feels like it is loose but it is not wobbling. When I searched it up it said it might be dying, but I tested it with ice and I could feel it. What do you think it is and will the feeling will pass? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Well, as you have just got injured, you cannot immediately test for the vitality of the tooth. If the tooth is not loose or painful then there is a possibility that the tooth has got minor trauma and not exactly making the tooth dead. But if the tooth does not get better or you get some other symptoms then you need to get an X-ray of the tooth. It will help in ruling out the exact condition of the tooth and how you should proceed to get it treated so that you do not lose your tooth. So wait for another three to four days and if there is some complication you should see a dentist.

Hope you get well soon.

Thank you for consulting me.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
