Patient's Query
Hello doctor.
I tried my hardest to overcome my severe depression, but it was just impossible. Any incident that happens disturbs me every time. I have been previously diagnosed with depression. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.
First of all, screen yourself for clinical depression. Kindly do a self-rating test of depression like Zung's self-rating depression scale, which you can easily find online. If it indicates moderate to severe depression, consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and treatment. Treatment is available in the form of medications and psychotherapy. Besides certain things that can help:
Meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning helps you relax and focus.
Share your feelings with family or close friends, as sharing helps.
Exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet.
Take proper nighttime sleep.
Remember, every problem has a solution. You just need to try solving it; help is just a step away.
I hope this will help you. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
