Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been feeling dizzy for the past three days to the point that I sit down immediately as I feel like I am going to pass out. I have never experienced this before. I drink and eat enough every day, the only different thing is last week I was sexually active but I had no problems like this. I am due for my period however, I never get this dizzy. I am not too sure what could be causing it. Yesterday I did an early pregnancy test in case it was that but it came up negative. I and the mother-in-law had a look at the test and thought there was a small line but to me, it was negative. What could this be? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern. Such dizziness usually happens in pregnancy. But as you mentioned your pregnancy test is negative. So there can be other causes like not eating properly, food poisoning, etc can cause such symptoms. I would suggest you take Tablet Pantoprazole-D (Domperidone and Pantoprazole) once before a meal for three days. Wait for your periods, if you miss them then you should go for an ultrasound examination as it is more confirmatory. You can repeat the urine pregnancy test as well and send me reports, I will check and let you know. I would also like to know a few more things:
1 Do you have dizziness in the morning?
2 When was your last period?
3 Are you trying to conceive?
Please let me know so I can help you accordingly.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Regards.
