Hello doctor,

I recovered from a viral fever three days ago, but I am now experiencing a constant dry cough that prevents me from sleeping. Whenever I lie on my left side, I hear a persistent crackling sound in my chest. I took Deriphyllin this morning, which slightly reduced the cough, but it persists and keeps me awake. What should I do? Please help.

I suggest the following:

Take Allegra M (Montelukast and Fexofenadine) twice daily after meals.
Take Aerodil expectorant (Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline), 10 ml three times daily after meals.
Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation four to five times a day.
