I am 35, with dry skin and acne. How to manage?
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 35 years old, my skin is very dry, and I have acne. This has created difficulties in applying foundation; nothing stays on my face.
Please suggest which face wash, serum, and cream are best for me.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. Do not worry, I will give an effective skincare routine for skin glow, to manage your acne, and also a way to help your makeup stay in place. Your makeup is not staying well because of skin texture, which is commonly seen in people with dry to combination skin.
The good news is that this is easily manageable. I will guide you step by step.
-
Step one: In the morning, use a very mild, gentle cleanser. Use the face wash only in the morning and at night before going to bed. Avoid overusing face washes, as excessive cleansing can further dry out the skin.
-
Step two: After cleansing, gently dry your face and apply a good moisturiser suitable for dry skin.
-
Step three: In the morning, apply a sun protection factor SPF 50 sunscreen to protect your skin from pigmentation. Options include Solaris Ultra, UVion sunblock, or Skin Aqua Sunblock.
-
Step four: To improve acne and skin texture, use Skinoren Cream 20%,(Azelaic acid). With regular use, it helps improve acne and smooth skin texture. Since it can cause some dryness, it should be used correctly. Apply only a pea-sized amount for the entire face.
-
In the evening, after washing your face, first apply your moisturizer. Then apply a pea-sized amount of Skinoren Cream evenly over the face, avoiding the eye area. After five minutes, apply moisturizer again. This method allows the medication to work effectively without excessively drying the skin.
-
Use Clinagel in the evening just on acne pimples. Follow this routine consistently for at least one month, after which you may share your feedback.
I hope this helps you. You can message me back if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
