Can arthroscopy yield positive results for the treatment of knee effusion?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am unable to fully straighten my right knee. An MRI has detected a mild knee effusion. What is the recommended treatment for this? My doctor has suggested surgery.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I would like to gather a few details: Do you have any history of knee injury? Could you provide the detailed MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) report? Additionally, what type of surgery was recommended? Was arthroscopy suggested by any chance? Having these details will assist me in providing more accurate guidance.

Please revert back with all the information.

Thank you.
