Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old male and have been experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED) for the past year and a half. I never had any issues getting an erection previously but about a year ago, it suddenly became a problem. I can still achieve an erection, but it is much more difficult and requires physical stimulation; it does not happen spontaneously. Although I have not been sexually active since then, it continues to worry me. I have been experiencing trouble with post-micturition dribble (PMD), which is the difficulty in emptying my bladder after urination. I believe this issue is due to a weakened bulbocavernosus muscle, as I have noticed that strength training partially helps. Since I am still facing difficulties in emptying my urethra, I am concerned that inflammation or neuropathy might be the cause. Over the past year and a half, there have been two occasions where there was a sudden improvement, but then it worsened again within approximately three days. PMD is a recent development for me. I have consulted three doctors, including two urologists, and they all claim it is psychological. I have undergone blood and urine testing (excluding sexually transmitted disease tests), as well as testosterone testing (within the average to above-average range), and an ultrasound of my bladder. I have been prescribed Viagra, which provides temporary relief, but I am concerned about becoming dependent on medication. Also, I always feel like my penis is much colder than it should be, especially the tip, and it concerns me. What should I do?

Kindly help.

Hello,

I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.

I understand your concern. From your description, it appears that you are experiencing mild transient erectile dysfunction. As a person who has been exposed to more sexual experiences, it is natural to have a slight decrease in stimulation, but I am confident that you will be able to have normal sexual function. Here are some suggestions for you: Viagra may be too strong for your situation. Consider taking a very low dose of Tadalafil 5 mg or Modula (phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors) tablets, which are commonly used in older individuals with chronic urinary symptoms, on alternate days for one month. Try taking three teaspoons of Psyllium husk at bedtime with two glasses of water. I suggest taking Tolterodine 2 mg once a day. You can also try performing Moola Bandha yoga with the help of online videos. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent.

You can always come back and reach me at icliniq.com.

Thank you for consulting me.
