Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a woman of 38 years old, never had to wear glasses so far. My eyes have been feeling strained and tired doc, especially after spending long hours in front of screens. It is affecting my focus and productivity, and I am wondering if it is more than just needing a break. Should I be concerned about eye strain, or is it just a normal part of screen time? Any signs I should be aware of? Wondering if I need an eye examination or maybe some special glasses. Are there ways to reduce eye strain at home or work? It is impacting my daily routine, and I want to make sure I'm taking care of my eyes. When is the right time to see you about this, and what should I expect during an eye checkup? Your advice on dealing with this eye strain would be appreciated.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern. It is computer vision syndrome. Kindly take off time from your screen job every 20 minutes.
1. Follow the 20-20-20 rule.
2. Use blue filters from the screen.
3. Use lubricant eye drops frequently.
4. Use eye shields while sleeping.
5. Get your refraction checked once and use anti-glare spectacles.
6. A few convergence exercises to improve our focus along with some meditation.
7. Women are already burdened with many responsibilities and it takes a toll on health.
I hope I have cleared your doubts.
Thank you.
