Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I just quit smoking e-cigarettes one month ago. I have been experiencing shortness of breath and backache for the past month, but not severely. I have been attempting to quit smoking for some time. I have symptoms, but I am not sure if they are withdrawal-related, these include shortness of breath, dizziness, and fatigue. I underwent an electroencephalogram (EEG), and the results are normal. Additionally, I have been married for one year and we are trying to get pregnant. This is our second month actively trying. Currently, I am in the two-week wait. However, I drank a glass of red wine this week, and I smoked six e-cigarettes. I am concerned if this could impact fertility, fertilization, or implementation during the two-week wait. I am also unsure whether I should continue yoga or stop exercising during this period. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern.

Regarding your symptoms, it appears that you may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I suggest limiting the usage of e-cigarettes. In relation to your efforts to conceive, following the two-week wait for a fertility appointment, I propose that smoking and the intake of red wine may impact your chances of getting pregnant, especially if a fertilization procedure is planned. Engaging in yoga or any exercise is important during this waiting period to maintain mental, physical, and medical fitness for the fertilization process. If your symptoms persist, Kindly follow up. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
