How to treat freckles?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have noticed multiple moles are appearing on my face, resembling freckles. Despite my limited sun exposure, these moles began to appear some time ago, and their frequency has been increasing. While they resemble freckles, they are darker in color, particularly around my chin.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
It appears that you may have developed freckles, potentially due to medication, an infection, hormonal imbalances, a congenital skin condition, or alterations in cosmetics.
I recommend that you undergo a skin biopsy and share the results with me.
In the meantime, please consider using the following:
Use either topical 0.2 % Tacrolimus (immunosuppressive drug) cream, topical 0.05 % Clobetasol ointment once daily, or 0.2 % Hydrocortisone (steroid) cream twice daily for one month.
If these treatments do not yield results, I will suggest photoablation therapy as a definitive solution. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to schedule a direct appointment or reach out via chat, phone, or video consultation.
Kindly consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope this information helps you.
Thank you.
