Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have gotten a furuncle or an insect bite in the middle part of my penis, it has been 30 hours since I have got it. I used Betamethasone, Gentamicin, Tolnaftate, and Clioquinol combination cream to treat it but it was of no use. Kindly suggest something to treat it.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Firstly, I would suggest you stop using a combination cream of Betamethasone, Gentamicin, Tolnaftate, and Clioquinol. It is a combination that is not right for your condition. You may replace it with Mupirocin ointment. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent. Kindly let me know the number of lesions you have and if they are itchy and painful, if there is any redness or burning sensation. This will help me differentiate between folliculitis, herpes, and insect bites.

I hope I have answered your question. Do write back with the answers so that I can guide you better.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
