Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

When I try to perform something on an empty stomach, I have excruciating backache and hollowness in my stomach; otherwise, I am in good health. I have been using Tibetan medicine for five months, and I also have gallbladder stones that are not bothering me right now. I refuse to get surgery because I get so nervous sometimes. What do you think the cause of back discomfort is? What might my condition be? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

There are a few non-invasive procedures available to dissolve gallstones. Still, the success rate is about 60% after eight months of treatment.

  1. Urodeoxycholic acid can be given up to eight months to dissolve cholesterol stones.

  2. Another non-surgical treatment for which gallstones must meet specific criteria is extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL). It is most effective on solitary gallstones less than 6 centimeters in diameter, so fewer than 15 percent of patients are eligible for ESWL. The treatment aims to break up or fragment gallstones by sending shock waves through the body's soft tissue.

  3. Contact dissolution therapy involves injecting a solvent known as methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) into the gallbladder to dissolve the gallstones. Initial studies have shown that MTBE rapidly dissolves gallstones.

  4. You can also try natural remedies like two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of lemon juice to a glass of warm water. Drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. Doing this regularly for weeks can dissolve gallstones and prevent pain.

  5. I encourage you to incorporate these liver-cleanse foods into your weekly diet, like garlic, grapefruit, carrots, green tea, green leafy vegetables, avocados, apples, and olive oil.

  6. Avoid foods that are fried, like french fries and potato chips; high-fat meats, such as bacon, bologna, sausage, ground beef, and ribs; high-fat dairy products, such as cheese, ice cream, cream, whole milk, and sour cream, pizza, foods made with lard or butter, creamy soups or sauces, meat gravies, chocolate.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
