Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
What is the best medicine for GERD? I have been taking Pantoprazole for almost seven years. And now, I am always bloated. I feel my food stuck in my chest, and it is heavy when I lie down. Can you help me?

Regarding your symptoms and diagnosis of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) with no improvement with Pantoprazole, please take the following:
1. Tablet Erythromycin 500 mg orally twice a day.
2. Syrup Gaviscon (sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, and calcium carbonate) 20 mL orally twice a day.
3. Tablet Ranitidine 300 mg orally twice a day.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. If your symptoms persist, schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.
