Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Genital warts are very treatable. There are several ways to manage them, but because the area is genital and sensitive, safer options are preferred.

One option is electrocautery, in which a numbing cream is applied first, and the warts are then cauterized using a fine-tip machine. The procedure is usually painless; however, in cases of large warts, there is a risk of scarring.

The second option is cryotherapy, in which liquid nitrogen is applied to the affected area for 30 seconds to 1 minute in cycles. This procedure is painless, does not require anesthesia, and does not cause scarring.

Depending on the size of the warts, you can choose either option.

Topical creams such as Tretinoin and salicylic acid are not recommended for genital warts, as they can cause maceration in this sensitive area. Therefore, they should be avoided.

I would suggest getting the treatment done by your local dermatologist as soon as possible, as genital warts can spread and multiply.

Meanwhile, some general tips:

  • Take a zinc supplement for 1 month, as it helps limit viral replication and may help with warts.

  • Avoid scratching the area, as this can spread the warts.

  • Avoid sharing towels or clothing with others, as the condition is contagious.

I hope this has helped you.

Please feel free to reach out to me again for further queries.

Thank you.
