A gingival abscess is one of the five types of dental abscess. It occurs due to bacterial infection caused by tooth decay, hard brushing, broken teeth, injury, and food stuck in the gum line. Gingival abscess appears as a white spot on the gums. On increasing time, it gets enlarged and swollen when the pocket is filled with pus and bacteria. It is treated by draining the abscess and antibiotics.
