Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 19 years old female, and my hair has never grown past my shoulders in my life. My mom and sister have beautiful curly thick hair. Most women in my mom's family have nice hair, even the men. As well as on my dad's side, everyone has nice normal growing hair. Although, my dad is bald, and then there is me. My hair is naturally curly and fine, but it has been the same length my entire life. I want to know if there is anything I can do to get my hair to start growing longer and thicker. Can any treatment or medication help?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query, and I can understand your concern.
The growth of the hair is dependent on the individual's genes. I would suggest you following:
Take multivitamins tablet once a day daily for two months. Consult a specialist doctor and take these medicines with their consent.
Take capsule Evion (Vitamin E) 400 mg once a day.
Check your hemoglobin level. If it is less, you can even take iron supplements.
Have a haircut timely.
Properly oil the scalp.
Eat a well-balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetables and fruits.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
