Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 18-years-old. I have noticed a lot of hair is falling off my head. It started around finals, about a month ago, so maybe it was just stress. But even during the summer, it has continued. I have always had thin hair (my whole family does), if that helps. Please ask me any questions to help me figure out what is going on. Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
In male, most of the cases are of androgenic alopecia. It is a genetically determined disorder characterized by the gradual conversion of terminal hairs into indeterminate, and finally into hairs. With your condition, you can use 5 percent Minoxidil lotion with Finasteride (Morr-F lotion) 0.03 fluid ounces local application twice daily (with this for an initial two months you may feel an increase in hair fall but do not discontinue it). Minoxidil is quite safe to use and has to be used continuously for resumed benefit. Other than that, you may continue it for as long as you desire medical treatment for your hair fall. Along with this also take vitamin supplements like tablet Xtraglo (a combination of Biotin. Copper. Iron. Selenium. Zinc. L-Cysteine. L-Lysine. and Methionine) once daily for 6 months. Get review after one month
Thank you for consulting me.
