How to manage severe hair fall?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello, Doctor,

I am experiencing hair loss, mostly from the sides of my head. I go to the gym regularly and sweat a lot, but I usually do not shower immediately after my workout. I currently use shampoo.

  1. Could you please advise whether my hair fall is related to my gym routine or the shampoo I use?
  2. Also, could you suggest what treatments or products I should consider to stop the hair loss and promote natural hair regrowth?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It appears to be male pattern hair loss with associated hair thinning. The cause could be hormonal, with a genetic predisposition.

I suggest the following things:

  1. Avoid crash dieting.
  2. Exercise regularly to maintain hormonal balance.
  3. Eliminate stress as much as possible.
  4. Avoid harsh shampoos that are loaded with chemicals.
  5. Use Mildy AHF shampoo (mild anti-hair fall shampoo) twice weekly for six weeks.
  6. Apply Q Sera hair serum (hair growth serum with peptides and Redensyl) at night on a clean scalp for three months.
  7. Take the tablet Zincovit (multivitamin and mineral supplement) once daily after dinner for 30 days.

I suggest that you get a routine blood work-up done, including:

  1. Serum ferritin levels.
  2. Vitamin D3.
  3. Vitamin B12.
  4. Thyroid profile.

Please follow up with the reports.

Thank you.
