Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Before offering any specific advice, I would like to have a complete understanding of your medical history and the symptoms you are currently experiencing. Only with this information can I provide you with further guidance.

Regarding hepatomegaly with Grade I fatty liver, it is generally not considered a severe issue. However, it does require thorough investigation. I suggest getting liver function tests done to assess your liver's health. Additionally, it would be helpful to know if you are married, pregnant, or have any specific symptoms that led to the discovery of the enlarged liver.

Please provide more details.

Best regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response.

I am married and have a 4-month-old child. I experienced stomach pain last month and received medication for relief. Recently, I was diagnosed with hepatomegaly with Grade I fatty liver.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I recommend undergoing a series of tests to further evaluate your condition:

  1. Liver function tests.
  2. Fasting lipid profile.
  3. Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.
  4. Fasting blood glucose.
  5. HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin)
  6. Postprandial blood glucose

If hepatomegaly was diagnosed via ultrasound, please provide the ultrasound report for review.

Maintain a diet that is low in fat, rich in protein, and, if you are not diabetic, consume carbohydrates in moderation. Kindly revert with the reports for me to provide further guidance.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
